A good weapon to use against Lao Shun Lung is the SnS Blazing Falchion. It is obtainable with Hr 1 items, does considerable damage, has relatively good sharpness and is also a fire attribute weapon.

Well, I did beat lao with rathalos firesword, but only when the fortress had about 10% left.....
P.S.I have the eternal strife(not eternal schisms) should I use that weapon instead of the rathalos firesword?

it is possible with both, they are both decent for lao, you could try again with the strife to see which one is better.

Ugh finnaly beat him with the strife, fort had 30% and that's because I missed the dragonator...(yes, he immediately got down when I activated it, thus doging it -.-) now I have to do it again to have auroros helmet, and again so I can have full auroros....(I already have auroros mail)
