simple, you keep pressing the right combo for doing the throw attack

1. Do you press it repeatedly?
2. Do you press it when the attack lands?
During an additional hit when the opponent uses the substitution jutsu

you just keep repetedly pressing the throw combination, sometimes when you plat it on hard you have to do a lot before you can finally land a hit
