Just had a thought...

Recently I've been having a couple of dilemmas about which cars to choose to replace some (how to put this best...) slightly defficient cars now for their category and I remember the last time I asked someone about which car to go for it went horribly wrong. And I know if I try to ask for which category as well it's going to be very mixed again.
So I propose this. Every week or so we mention a car that we are going to "test". We each test it in a category of our own choice: one that we specialise in.
So for instance if someone wanted us to test Lancer Evolution 9 and to find out the stats or general review of it then we'd each go off and tune it up and everything. Go to several tracks and try various set ups. Come back and give the results or feedback.
A person could also quite easily ask for the car and to test it in a certain category. We could all do it together.
So what do you guys reckon?

If you're talking about real life, then there are a couple of probs:

1. this is a game forum
2. I don't even have my L's...

If you're talking about PS, then sure, but there may be a couple of problems with that as well:

1. Different platforms= different results
2. Everybody's opinion will be different because we allhave different driving styles.

Well of course I meant in the game.
Well that's why we then "test" it for the categories we specialise in so that even if we do use different consoles the differences will or rather should be relative to each other. The only difference being that there are different people for different categories.

Those problems are still there, though. If there are multiple people, doing the same mode, in the same car, on the same track but on different consoles, the results will be different because:

1. There are different control setups for each platform, I mean, how different is the PS2 controls to PS3? Very, VERY different.

2. Everybody has a different driving style, no matter whether it's in a game or in real life.

That's why I said we test it in our own "special" race type/category so whatever happens we still at least have a few constants.
And I have used the PS3 controls for it and it's not particularly that big a difference. I will admit there is a bit, but I wouldn't say it was a large significance.

Well if so, I shotgun grip, although I already know a couple that will be better than some. For example, the 911 Turbo.

Yeah the 911 Turbo is probably the best Grip car. It may not have quite the same turn in as the Ford GT, but overall it is very balanced.
My dibs are on either Drag or Speed. I think I'll do Drag.

Fair enough. I don't mind doing Drift if I have to. There's still Speed Challenge that's free if you want?

Ok lets kick things off with something nice and simple.
Something like the Ford RS Cosworth. Sound good?

NOOOOOOOOOO.The RX-7 is good for drift not the Ford.

^WTH? It's to test it and then comment about it afterwards. Extreme bump there as well.

I beat the Drift king with it.Is there proof enough?

you can beat the drift king in any stock RWD car.
