Anyways I did a check up on real dragster cars and it turns out they actually have around more like 1500bhp. So IDKs when I saw that video. All I know is the person in his set up reduced the Nitrous pressure and Jetting flow ever so slightly.

umm 1500bhp is found on the baby drag racers, the more powerful ones that can do a quarter mile in 4 secs and reach a speed of 400km/h, they are made of plastic, more slimline and have about 3000bhp Rock . so looking at the cars on the game the closest ones to this are:
the zonda
ford gt
new pontiac GTO
toyota supra

I had the zonda for drag and it was completely mad, just couldent handle the power

I had the Zonda and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to ACCELERATE!! Supra doesn't work either, not enough torque, so I'm going to try the Charger.

AWD cars for wheelie is impossible. at least. (Although in the game, Ryo, the showdown king's evo 10 was able to do it...er?)

How on earth am I supposed to get great times if it wheelspins for half the 1/4 mile?!?!?!? The best, when fully upgraded, I could get was 10 secs dead.

I'm at a loss here... I reckon my next attempt will be with either the GTO, or the GT500.

Yeah the modern one was able to do 7.3 seconds for me at best. (Which is realistic) and see your psot earlier about the real dragsters and stuff?
Yeah exactly, they are so light they could probably take off eventually and so it's just hard to see a Pagani Zonda F managing it when it's VERY heavy and has a lot less power. Plus it just loses to much grip when shifting even in Perfect shifting.

if your going to do the modern gto, go for it and try to fix the handling on it so it wont roll

I tried the modern GTO recently and it was ok, but not exactly what you call the best at finding grip.
But the old one was a shocker! Don't know how Nate Denver used it in Speed.

Did you save after you got the Charger? Cause when you sell a car in the game you get a heck lot less back than when you bought it.

Oh by the way, if you're having trouble with it veering to the side on drags, use Stage 4 to tune the suspension but actually have it on Stage 2 max. I don't know how this works, but there's a glitch with the stage 4 suspension that makes it veer off.

Well actually once you can get your car to wheelie it veers off to the side anyways.
The physics could be off, but then again it may not be for you see some of the drag tracks (or rather atleast one of them) was used for an air strip. That being Chicago Airfield and air strips and normal roads actually have a bit of Positive camber so that when it rains the water washes off to the sides.
So that is why the car may veer off.
On and strangely enough I set my car's suspension to pretty much default (shocks, rebound and springs), but then made the sway bars at softest and the veer was sort of less.
The way I do to keep it from veering is usually to be Perfect shifting.
