Gamers will be able to use the DS as a controller to play Pok�mon Battle Revolution when it launches in the west later this year.
Nintendo told CVG: "There will be games that take advantage of a connection between DS and Wii. The first game to do this is Pokemon Battle Revolution."
"In Pokemon Battle Revolution, players can port characters from Pok�mon Diamond and Pok�mon Pearl via the DS and use their Nintendo DS units as controllers," explained Nintendo.
With both the DS and Wii having built-in Wifi capabilities, the two consoles will connect without the need for wires.
Pok�mon Battle Revolution is, of course, also the first Wii game to boast online gameplay as we mentioned here last year.
The game will release in the US on June 25. A UK release is yet to be announced.

You can use the Nintendo DS as a controller. It is the only way to play Pokemon Battle Revolution actually. You have to have a DS with a copy of Diamond or Pearl in order to play PBR.

If you want to have good Pokemon in PBR, the game has the rental feature, like the Stadium games, and the Wii Remote is usable.

Many reviews say, you shouldn't use the rental pokemon because they do not evolve and gain no exp points. Your better off using you own pokemon.

I just re-read my sentence and i forgot to mention something so let me re-word that:
If you want to have good Pokemon in PBR tranfer from a D/P game, the game has the rental feature like the Stadium games therefore not value trained or nature trained, and the Wii Remote is usable.

Alls that says it will have RPG elements.
If it's anything like the old Stadium games, it cant have an experience system... at least not in certain modes. In some cups in the original Stadiums your Pokemon have to be at a specific level in order to qualify.
Though I?m just guessing. I don?t really know. Haven?t been following this game very closely. Guess we?ll find out in 2 days.
