Animations

So, now that the game is finally starting to come out in the English version, and most of the people here are just now playing it, I ask you this - What do you think of some of the animations used in this game? Small cutsenes to general use of animations throughout the game. A small example from part of the Japanese version.

For a pokemon game, I really do enjoy seeing things like this instead of just sprites sliding around.


The animations are what I mostly enjoy about Pokemon Black.

You might to put that video in spoilers Derek.

I think this is what makes this game so great. This is also one of the reason I say this game is almost better the gen 2.

Can't. Half the people on the site have problem playing videos when put in spoilers.

Then maybe warn about it in the title or somewhere in the post?

When I first saw this I was like "OH MY GOD SO AWESOME"
Just goes to show how much Gamefreak can get out of the DS.

Yeah the animations look great now, and I do hope that Gamefreak keeps making these games better and better. Also it looks like they have finally put some thought into the game unlike just revamping the old Johto Region onto the DS.

The animations are so awesome. I was impressed at the sight (via Youtube. Couldn't resist.) and hope with future Pokemon releases that will be for the Nintendo 3DS Gamefreak and Nintendo can make use of the 3D graphics to make the animations even better. No complaints here. :D

I don't understand how you will be able to see 3D images without 3D glasses and how will it be even possible for that to happen?

The screen appears inverted to simulate 3D images. It 'fools' the eye.

But back on topic, this would make the move animations and effects seem more realistic.

The Animation on the Ds for pokemon Black is very well do, they have sure put a lot of effort into it.

Yes, but the downside is the pixelated sprites, which is easy to tell with your Pokemon.

Yeah i have noticed that too, when the pokemon is up close or too far away.

It sucks, really, cause the resolution is worse than the static back sprites from previous games. I still like it, though. Full back sprites and moving camera makes things much awesome-er.

i don't know if my expectations are just to high, or if i have been poisoind by the amazing graphics that xbox 360 has(i have one) but the animation seems pretty crappy to me. dosen't stop me from enjoying it immensely, but ya know. just thought id voice my thoughts
