Don't forget, bonsly is more common in pearl and mime jr. is more common in diamond.

Well think about it you get Diamond exclusive Pokemon you trade a Pearl Exclusive for Diamond on Wi-fi ((Because ya just know someone in Japan has all the diamond pearl and so on Pokemon from every game already)) So it makes it easier with playing with people all around the world if you cant just find a local person with the version you dont have to trade with. Simple.

Trading will be very useful but it will be simpler to choose which game you want due to version exclusive because the trade may not be relible.
