Gender Differences

When pokemon diamond and pearl were released one of the first major changes in the game would be the idea of visual gender differences. This was described as how gender would change how a pokemon looked compared to the opposite gender making each pokemon even more unique. Now after seeing all of the new pictures of the pokemon contained in diamond and pearl I wanted to know the opinion of other members of this website about the issue that barely any pokemon in the game have differences due to gender and if they believe this quality should be later used in other games.

I dont see a very big difference in most of the pokemon, they can use it if they feel it is important.I wish they would use the money used to make geders different would be put into the names.

cheap/underbudget way or making ppl think P/D is "new and improved" ... crazy otaku's may try to have both a male and female version just for collections sake

my info comes from serebii so i'm curious about this: are there going to be a difference in the P/D sprites or is male/female the onli difference? i'd encourage the developers to go back to the different sprite thing, and would hope to have different gendered sprites (much more aparent)

no there the only sprites,but they look way different and 3D

Anyway, the gender differences are barely recognisable with most pok�mon. Another pointless way to try and convince fans that Diamond Pearl are unique with a "new and improved" feature.

i want P/D to have seperate sprites, but i guess it's too late...

but, i do like the new sprites, they look SOOOOOO cool... remake of the first gen i'd say, the starters from RBY resemble their old appearances back in the b/w days
