This topic is not about seeing who can obtain a red gyarados but is a dicussion on why was there a newscast in the begging of the game about a red gyarados sighting even though it had no significance later on in the game.

You can catch Red Gyarados!!!!!!!!!! I caught 2 of them in the same place WITHOUT a gameshark or a action replay! I think the reasion for the story is just hinting that you can catch it or it is the easyest Shiny pokemon to catch. those are the onlyshiny pokemon I have Run into.

i have a red gyrados!! i mighht just trade it... and yes it is legit... i caught a shiny magikarp with my fishing pole and then it evolves...

i have a red gyarados, in fact ill have all first three generation in shiny and some of the sinnoh generation ^^ but i also to am kinda confused as to the mentioning of the red gyarados :S
