Grass pokemon are better off as annoyers, I find.

well all types have their sub types and arch types ofcuz... ground types have all sorts... ranging from stallers to sub breakers to blardi hardkore sweepers like friggin imba groudon... grass, stuff like victreebell and exeggutor... not very annoying (unless you think having pokemon downed is annoying) and breloom... thats not annoying; thats scari =S

dun think grass types aren't used... it's just generali harder to put them in a team these days, and i don't know a grass type other than celebi that uses baton pass so they don't appear in chain BP teams... ... do they? i honestly can't think of one right now =S ...but the application of grass is overshadowed; if u want to use grass to take down rock/ground etc, water does the job much easier, and does neutral damage against steels (And water types often learn ice beam, so dragons aren't a problem either) and against water types it's usuali more effective to have electric types who are typicali stronger in terms of SP.ATK...
