Is an evolved pokemon always the best choice?

I think no, because there are many hidden moves among the first forms of pokemon. The creator did this to even out statigies for players to make them us the begining pokemon to achieve higher possible power. Besides each time a pokemon leves up the increase of stats are the same no matter what evolution form it is. I also know that each time a pokemon evolves its HP increases higher than normal. But when they reach a high enough level, does it really matter?

I usually evolve them anyway... "secret moves" are usually TM moves you can buy again, and money is kinda easy.

Or for the fact that first-evolution Pok�mon learn GOOD moves at like level 43.

I'm not keeping Torchic until level 43 just to teach it Flamethrower. <_<.

Thanks. I normally evolved them for pure strength but now I keep them becuase they are fun to train with like charmander. Him at Lvl 100 would be killer but also because there small and still kick @$$
