What the element of all types of pokemon do you love the most.
Mine is fire, its rare and underrated. it has high potential but never given a good shot at many gyms
Brock- Geodude, Onix. Rock, charmander's attacks aren't effective enough to win without struggle. Water Prevails. Grass wins without a sweat.
Misty- Staru, Starmie. Water, Very difficult for any fire pokemon to defeat them. (NOT IMPOSSIBLE). Water has an alright chance. Grass dominates.
Lt. Surge- Voltorb, Pikachu, Raichu. Not real hard but not easy. Fire pokemon can't do it alone, need some help. Water, very difficult. Grass has easiest time.
Erika- Vileplume, Tengala, Victreebell. Easiest, no help need. But its the only badge for fire to dominate. Water not the best. Grass, fair fight.
Koga- Koffing, Koffing, Muk, Weezing. Fire can hold its own. But water has an advantage in the game, maybe different in TCG. Grass, easyish kinda like fire.
Sabrina- Kadabra, Mr. Mime, Venomoth, Alakazam. Fire in the game can be very week against psycic and wont win even one battle without help or a lot of training. Water, has easier time winning because able to learn better moves earlier. Grass is well resistant to psycic and has learned giga drain from Erika's TM.
Blaine- Growlithe, Ponyta, Rapidash, Arcanine. Not easy for fire to win just has difficult time. Water dominates Blaine without problem. Grass doesn't stand a chance.
Giovanni- Rhyhorn, Dugtrio, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Rhydon. Fire has terrible time against Giovanni because of his pokemon knowing earthquake. Water is very affective against ground and has good chance of winning. Grass has about the same chance because of effectivity against ground. All Types suffer to Fissure.
Elite Four- Fire cannot get a break with no battles with a high chance of winning.
1st- Water: Fire gets terribly defeated.
2nd- Ground: Again weak against earthquake, fire power not effective enough.
3rd- Ghost: Fire has normal effects against ghost, but cant face up to psycic attacks.
4th- Dragon: No real weakness but fire power wont be strong enough to beat him.
Champion- All: Some strengths but no chance against his starter which is water.

Charmander can learn Metal Claw in FR/LG, which makes this gym a bit easier to beat.

In my opinion, Fire (and Water) type can do well here. Bulbasaur being Grass/Poison becomes a delicious prey for Psychic type.

In fact, Bulbasaur has some advantages b/c it's unaffected by Poison type moves, but it also doesn't have any good move against Poison type. Fire and Water, although can get poisoned, can throw some good damage at it.

Fire is neutral against Electric and vice versa, so it still stands a good chance against Electric.
Charmander can learn Metal Claw in FR/LG, which makes this gym a bit easier to beat.

In my opinion, Fire (and Water) type can do well here. Bulbasaur being Grass/Poison becomes a delicious prey for Psychic type.

In fact, Bulbasaur has some advantages b/c it's unaffected by Poison type moves, but it also doesn't have any good move against Poison type. Fire and Water, although can get poisoned, can throw some good damage at it.
