I'm playing gold version and I'm in kanto right now and I just beat the elite 4 and I'm trying to get to Pewter city but I have no idea how to get there. If someone could help me that would be great!

From Vermilion City, get through Diglett's cave. Then, from the exit, go east and you'll be in Pewter.

when I get in the building that's leading to victory road, There's two guys blocking my way to go left or right. If that's not how to get to Vermilion city then how do I? Can I please have detailed instruction on getting to Vermilion city Starting from the part where the guy in the beginning of kanto sais that I just took my first step into kanto?

It's the city with the big lighthouse, where you fought Jasmine.

you have to go onto the boat, pewter city is one of the last citys you reach in this game, so dont worry about it yet
first fly to olivine
6 steps right
29 steps down
4 left
1 down
that is the boat, talk to the dude, when you get in the boat some grand-mother will run into you, battle everyone, then talk to the first guy on the second level, once you have, return to the cabin two (or maybe 1 or 3, check them all) to the right of your cabin, fight the new dude, then return to the second level, fight everyone then go up the next level, there will be the captains office and the womens grand-daughter (of the grand-mother that ran into you) will be there, talk to her, and youll get a metal coat for returning her to her grand-mother...
the ship will announce arriving at vermillion city (straight after talking to the grand-mother)
then you leave the ship
viola, youre in vermillion
hope you get there

I really appreciate everyone trying to help me but no one seems to understand what I'm talking about. I Would like directions to olivine from the first step you take in kanto. I can't seem to get anywhere. From the first step I take in kanto, the only place I can go is in a cave. Please help a.s.a.p.! Thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!!
