I went to Either Vermillion or Saffron and there were to gyms right next to each other. One was a fighting dojo and when I went in a guy said that the master or whatever is training in a cave in Jhoto but which one is it? If I go talk to him will he go back to the dojo? Thanks!

The cave is Mt. Mortar. If you take the center entrance with only 5 Pokemon in your party, you should meet him if you keep going. Then, after you beat him in a battle, he'll give you a Tyrogue.
