Pictures of Gold and Crystal have been added to serebii now. Unless the (overworld)sprite is awesome, I'm definitely not starting as Crystal. Also, apparently the opposite gender trainer you chose will be utilized like Lucas/Dawn was in DPPt.

There should be an updates thread made in each forum.

Make it like a timeline, starting from the very first hint on PokeSunday (with the gold and silver beach ball things).

And as each new update is revealed, edit it into the first post in the update thread, under the date as a heading.

Like:


3rd May, 2009:

Pokemon Sunday hints at a new game, to be revealed on May 10th.

- Extra info, everything that was revealed then.


9th May, 2009:

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are officially confirmed.

Pokemon Platinum was released in Japan on September 13 2008 and it was later released in the US on March 22 2009.I've read that Pokemon HeartGold/Soulsilver are going to be released on September 11 2009, so does that mean it's going to be relesed in the US sometime during March?

Serebii says that info saying that the games will be released on September 11th are false so don't get your hopes up.. Sorry to break the news - I want them as early as possible.

A new screenshot shows that the menu (Bag, Team, Save, etc.) are accessed via the touch screen. I think that's a cool idea.

I really like what we've seen so far. I like how the hill that goes down to the Slowpoke Well is 3D. I also like Ecruteak's design.

Well, Kris wasn't around in GS. So really, if it's a remake of Gold and Silver, Kris doesn't need to be there.

I just thought I would post this information over here also because I know some of us go to HeartGold and some to SoulSivler depending on the game we are getting. This information came from the CoroCoro Scans that have been translated.

New CoroCoro scans have been leaked on Japanese image boards and, as expected, they reveal new information regarding Pok�mon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Below is a list of some new features and other Pok�mon HG/SS related news highlighted by CoroCoro:

- Starter Pok�mon are not the only Pok�mon that will follow you in-game
- New playable female character (not from Pok�mon Crystal version)
- Player`s Pok�mon gear has been upgraded (possible camera addition)
- Notch-eared Pichu confirmed in-game (Pikachu-Colored Pichu interacts with this Pichu in a possible in-game event)
- More Wi-Fi features to be added
- Sprout Tower and Slowpoke Well remodeled
- New Pok�mon Sugimori art revealed
- CoroCoro hints at Kanto`s return
- [b][u]Not Confirmed:[/[/u]b] Skateboard key item in-game (like bike) and September 11th 2009 release date in Japan
