New Sprites

Do you reckon the sprites for Pokemon in this game will be the same as D/P/Pl, or revamped sprites taken from the respective originals - Gold and Silver?

Or will they have brand new sprites altogether?

I'm hoping they revamp the original sprites. It would be cool.

And also, do you think the sprites will move, ala Crystal version?

Sprites will move, of course. It's become standard, now. And I believe all pokemon except Sinnoh pokemon will have their sprites revamped or completely new, ala FR/LG.

I think all the Johto & ones in the Johto Dex should be new & all the others be the same as they were in D/P/Pt.

Hoenn pokemon weren't in FireRed.

It's sorta what Platinum did. Revamped only Sinnoh sprites (and a few others, but mainly all of the new sprites were in the Sinnoh Dex, excluding Latias) and left the others the same.

I think the characters looked bad (mainly the girl)

I can't really remember what the trainers looked like.

Revamp them. They'll look more classic.

Also, for those of you who have got this wrong - The FR/LG sprites were slightly different to those from R/S/E

They have changed the main character sprites (for the worse, in my opinion) but I think they are revamping the old sprites - from what I've seen on Serebii, they look revamped. These look awesome may I add. I think they will keep the D/P sprites the same, but other than that, they will be revamped

Well I do hope they revamped majority of the sprites and definately highten the game play a little more. I also think they need to keep the villians around much longer if they are any in Johto. I do not know its going to be my first time playing that region. What I mean is don't just have them all disappear after you have beaten them etc. Make them pop up once a month or something to start trouble.

Team Rocket are in Johto, like Kanto. :3

My bet is is that after you beat the game you'll get to visit some new areas with Hoenn pokemon, like how in FR/LG you could find Johto pokemon.

Yeah, that would be pretty cool. I hope the Johto region just has 1st and 2nd generation Pok�mon. It would feel more authentic. I wouldn't even use Pok�mon from the newer generations just so it feels more retro.

Oh my God, I love the National Park so much. It was so cool, especially how they had those bug-catching contests! I would use cheats and catch Bulbasaurs and similar Pok�mon, lol. Ahh, yes, Johto was what made me happiest. I never felt as refreshed as when I was playing Gold and Silver.

Yeah, I saw them both a couple of days ago, they made the guy look worse (as they have been doing in the past few games...)
I like the girls character sprite better (or just more than Dawn and Crazy blue hair XD)

The Johto Dex will be revamped and the Unknown Dex too, I think.

I'm pretty sure that they will, after all the Johto Book Dex is the only one with the old artwork from the previous designer. All others have been revamped.

In my opinion, the only good-looking, playable sprites in the past few games have been May and Platina's sprites (and characters, as well). In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, Lucas looks like he's in the closet, seriously. It's not very appealing... - -'
