I wouldn't call myself an otaku. I actually hate anime.
We're down to hours now, guys. I called my game store today & they had my copy in so I'm all set. Only problem is gettin' there to get it. I live like 50 miles from anything important so it's quite a drive to get there. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but my mom's had a cold the past couple days so idk how/if I'll be able to get it tomorrow.

People who don't reserve lack the foresight to know that Pokemon has a rabid fanbase that are chompin' a the bit by the time a new game comes out; a testament to Nintendo's almost insidiously successful hype tactics. Then the troves of people who don't reserve rush into stores like rabid dogs after a rabbit & buy all the copies up then those who were too slow or didn't get there in time are left broken hearted & gameless. It's all one huge fail pot that could easily be avoided if people would actually pre-order games. Oh well, some people just don't learn...

I don't even want my Ho-oh figurine. It looks ugly. But it's a token of the remakes, so it has some value to me, at least.

Then your friend should've reserved their copy. Maybe when you go to get yours they'll have some they can buy.
I didn't get any pre-order bonus cause the store I reserve games at isn't any kind of major chain or anything like that. But they're generally very reliable when it comes to pre-orders. I couldn't care less about some figurine, the game alone is enough to make me a happy camper.
