This is a working progress, if you are veiwing this page and it's not done, I'm working on it, no rush. Basically it's like a walkthrough but better. You don't need to post in here it's just something to read. The one main reason I can't do it all at once is because I have dial-up :-(, and after a while the computer must re-dial and then it signs me off so it won't accept it. But anyway, here it is.

PALLET TOWN & ROUTE 1:

1. HOME SWEET HOME.
Your home is your castle-a welcome retreat from the crazy life of a Pokemon Trainer. When you visit home, your mom will let you rest in the upstairs bedroom. Any injured pokemon in your party will be healed during the snooze.

LATER: AFTER YOU'VE COMPLETED SOME MAJOR MILESTONES IN YOUR POKEMON-TRAINING CAREER-CAUGHT 60 POKEMON, RETURNED LOSTELLE TO HER FATHER ON TWO ISLAND AND BECOME THE POKEMON LEAGUE CHAMPION-PROFESSOR OAK WILL UPGRADE YOUR POKEDEX SO IT WILL HELP YOU KEEP TRACK OF THE HUNDREDS OF POKEMON ACROSS THE WHOLE WORLD, NOT JUST KANTO'S 151.

2. LEAVING SO SOON.
There isn't a lot to see in Pallet Town, and the road calls to all restless Pokemon Trainers. When you try to leave, however, Professor Oak will impede your progress and escort you back to his laboratory.

3. CHOOSE WISELY.
After Professor Oak smacks down his hot-headed grandson, he'll let you choose a Fire-type Charmander, a Grass-and-Poison type Bulbasaur or a Water-type Squirtle to call your own. Think carefully-you get only one, and you won't be able to catch the remaining two Pokemon anywhere else.

4. POTION COMMOTION.
***ITEM ALERT*** -POTION-
Head north from Pallet Town and talk to the Pokemart employee on Route 1. The slick salesman knows that happy customers are repeat customers, and if you speak to him he'll give you a free Potion to start you on your journey. After you get the freebie, continue to Viridian City.

5. GET THE POKEDEX.
***ITEM ALERT*** -POKEDEX, POKEBALLx5-
A man at the Pokemart in Viridian City will give you a package for Professor Oak. When you return it to him, the grateful prof will give you a Pokedex and five Poke' Balls. You'll then be ready to catch wild Pokemon and start building your collection.

6. A SISTER'S REVENGE.
***ITEM ALERT*** -TOWN MAP-
After you get the Pokedex, swing by your rival's house in the top-right corner. His sister will give you a town map that shows the location of Kanto's important landmarks.

LATER: AFTER YOU'VE BECOME THE POKEMON LEAGUE CHAMPION, YOUR RIVAL'S SISTER WILL OCCASIONALLY OFFER TO GROOM ONE OF YOUR POKEMON, WHICH WILL STRENGTHEN ITS FRIENDSHIP WITH YOU. YOU CAN ALSO HAVE HER EVALUATE YOUR BOND WITH YOUR LEAD POKEMON.

VIRIDIAN CITY:

1. THE CENTER OF YOUR WORLD.
Pokemon Centers are located in any town of decent size, and they're invaluable resources. The nurse on the 1st floor will heal your Pokemon free of charge and let you use the computer to her right. Upstairs you'll find stations where you can battle your friends or trade Pokemon.

2. SHOP SMART. SHOP POKEMON.
***ITEM ALERT*** -OAK'S PARCEL-
The Pokemart sells a small assortment of items that will help you in battle. (Later Pokemarts will have a much larger selection.) Speak to the man behind the counter to receive a parcel for Professor Oak.

3. GET UP, GRAMPS!
***ITEM ALERT*** -TEACHY TV-
On the east side of town you'll find an old man lying on the ground who will refuse to let you pass. Once you deliver Oak's Parcel, however, the old timer will let you through and give you the Teachy TV-which shows how to battle and catch wild Pokemon.

4. GYM LEADER IN HIDING.
LATER: THE VIRIDIAN GYM WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL YOU HAVE SEVEN BADGES. ONCE YOU DO, YOU CAN RETURN AND CHALLENGE THE GYM LEADER FOR THE EIGHTH AND FINAL BADGE.

LATER:
***LEARNED MOVE ALERT** -DREAM EATER-
ONCE YOU'VE LEARNED CUT (HM 01), YOU CAN SLICE DOWN A SMALL TREE IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF VIRIDIAN CITY. THE MAN WAITING THERE WILL TEACH DREAM EATER TO ONE OF YOUR QUALIFIED POKEMON.

****POKEMART****
ANTIDOTE- -$100
PARALYZE HEAL- -$200
POKEBALL- -$200
POTION- -$300

ROUTE 22:

1. WE NEED BADGES.
You won't be able to pass through Victory Road until you own all eight Gym Badges. Rather than wasting your time haggling with gaurds, search the grass on Route 22 and catch a few wild Pokemon.

!!!RIVAL BATTLE 1!!!
LV 9- PIDGEY- NRM-FLY
YOUR STARTER/RIVALS POKEMON
BULBASAUR---LV 9- CHARMANDER- FIRE
CHARMANDER---LV 9- SQUIRTLE- WTR
SQUIRTLE---LV 9- BULBASAUR- GRS-PSN
IN ADDITION TO THE POKEMON HE TOOK FROM PROFESSOR OAK, YOUR RIVAL WILL HAVE A LV-9 PIDGEY. IF YOU CAUGHT A WILD PIKACHU ON ROUTE 2, USE THUNDERSHOCK TO TAKE DOWN THE PIDGEY.

ROUTE 2 & VIRIDIAN FOREST:

1. HOW TO CUT LIKE A PRO.
LATER: ONCE YOU'VE LEARNED THE HM CUT, YOU CAN USE IT TO CHOP DOWN SMALL, THIN TREES AND ENTER THE EASTERN SIDE OF ROUTE 2. THE TREES ARE AN ESPECIALLY HEARTY VARIETY AND WILL REGROW ALMOST IMMEDIATELY ONCE YOU ARE OUT OF SIGHT.

2. MIME! ALL MIME!
LATER: A YOUNG POKEMON TRAINER IN THE HOUSE AT THE NORTH END OF ROUTE 2 WILL SWAP HIS RARE MR. MIME FOR AN ABRA. IF YOU HAVE A SPARE ABRA IN YOUR PARTY, TAKE HIME UP ON THE OFFER. THE LEVEL OF MR. MIME WILL MATCH THAT OF THE TRADED POKEMON.

3. EARNING FLASH.
***ITEM ALERT*** -HM 05 (FLASH)-
LATER: PROFESSOR OAK HAS STATIONED ASSISTANTS ALL AROUND KANTO TO ENCOURAGE YOU IN YOUR JOURNEY. IF YOU SPEAK TO THE ONE INSIDE THE BLUE-ROOFED BUILDING, HE WILL GIVE YOU FLASH (HM 05)- BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE 10 POKEMON IN YOUR POKEDEX.

PEWTER CITY:

1. THE PROFILER.
Inside the Pokemon Center, you'll find a young girl in a pink dress. If you speak to her, she'll offer to change your profile-which is the message that appears when you battle other Trainers. You can build the profile by choosing four words or phrases from a lengthy list of options.

2. IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE.
The museum charges a hefty entrance fee of $50, and there are no membership discounts. If you fork over the cash, you'll be able to speak to the other patrons and view exhibits of old pokemon fossils-but there's no strategic purpose to do so.

(This may not be finished, but I must add this, so I'm not breakin' the law or nothin') copyrigh owner: Nintendo of America Inc.
"It all starts with this, a jewel containing the ultimate power." -Shadow "I still remember what I promised you, for the people of this planet. I promise you, REVENGE!" -
No one knows Shadow better than me. Or likes him more either. Go ahead, try me.
