I haven't posted in a long time.
I have bulbasaur as my starter and pikachu as my partner,for those of you who just started you can't recruit until you beat mt. steel, then go to wigglytuff in the pokemon square to buy friend areas. Before you buy, wigglytuff will give you the wild plains and mist- rise forest friend areas,then the magnemites you rescued in thunderwave cave will come and wigglytuff will throw the power plant friend area. Then one of the magnamites will join you, then you can buy friend area to recruit pokemon,by the way you can't recruit at the little forest.
