if i go and tell absol to join me in adventures and i tell meditite to do the same then i try to go to a dungeon it says that i have too many party members.

You can only have three party members with you at a time so you can still recruit pokemon.

after you beat raquaza you can pick your team leader

Yea, but I stil don't get something. Why does the game let you have 4 pokemon in a team, when you can only bring a party of 3 into a dungon?
A friend will bail you out of jail. A true friend would be there right next to you saying, That Was Awesome! Lets do it again!

AFTER you beat the game, you can make any of your "Friends" the leader of the team! go to their friend area, and select " Join Team". Then, press A again on them to see an option " Make Leader"....
