I have the right friend area, and I've beaten Sytcher plenty of times, and I still can't get it as a friend! Is there anything wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Maybe your rank or level isn't high enough to get one. Also, there maybe no room on the team to recruit it with.

Yes, that might be the problem, also check again to see if the friend area is open.If so bring 1 Pokemon, and contenue fightning him. It may also depend of your area.

I'm a Gold Rank, I only fought it with my Magnemite. And I already know that I have the right friend's area since I have Sudowudo, and they're in the same area.
