ok, I now have all of the legendaries except for Jirachi. Does anyone have any tips on what Pok�mon I should take into Wish Cave?

well I myself have never made it through purity forest or wish cave so my opinion may not be the best, but I say charizard and either venesaur, or gengar.

I was planning on using Charizard, but I am still undecided about whether to use Alakazam, one of the final forms of the other 8 starters, Mewtwo or Celebi

I don't know if celebi is good, but mewtwo is only good if you want to get past the first floors. other then that he stinks.

hmmm, once I get out of Far-Off Sea, I think I will take Charizard and either Venusaur, Meganium, or Sceptile

alright, well if you complete let me know, because with the right combo my luck might finally change! (for example, whenever I'm not using charizard every 5 floors there is a monster house :( also, I got to another floor, and got hit by two sonicbooms after my first step, and then I switched to venesaur and moved away towards a hallway. there was an electrode practically waiting for me. then charizard got killed, and I was surrounded by three sonicbooming electrodes. I got in one heat wave, but it just weakened them a bit. :(

well, if you ever need to be rescued in Wish Cave, there are actually people who do really good with those rescues, for example, in Purity Forest my Alakazam fainted on floors 85 and 87 and person named gigglebop saved me easily. thats the only reason I have Celebi right now, and I will be counting on he/she for when I go into Wish Cave

in Purity Forest, it is best to use Alakazam, because it can Teleport out of danger, and learn a lot of the TM's you will find

Uggh...I don't have an Alakazam, so I tried using that Gardevoir you get after Murky Cave in Purity Forest...NEVER...AGAIN! It sucked.

hmm.. purity forest? lol it was fun going through.. made it through without dieing lol all alakazam but i had 17 joy seeds.. i waited till i hit lv 5 to use them.. i also had 3 frustrations.. so alakazam, with teleport n 3 frustrations.. and lv 22 so i made it to celebi w/ out dieing

Theres no certain number of times you have to beat him... Like master said... -10% recruit rate... Just keep killing him until he joins.
