Each generation of starters has brought something new.

RBY- Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle (Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise) The first generation. These Pokemon were not great in the first generation, but improved in the later generations.
GSC- Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile (Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr) Weakest generation. None of these Pokemon have ever been above the BL tier, and probably never will be.
RSE- Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip (Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert) The best generation. None of these has ever dipped below the BL tier, and Swampert has become a staple OU Pokemon.
DP- Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup (Torterra, Infernape, Empoleon) The newest generation. This metagame brought some interesting changes, and these Pokemon show that.

I like Chimchar the best.

I guess he's talking about stats, and everything else. Personally though, I agree Shadowstriker, the Johto starter Pokemon were hot.
Great, I'm moving. Who knows when you'll see me again.

No offense, but Johto Pokemon has the most narrow move set in all those Pokemon. I think that contribute to its status of being in UU tier.

Within 4 starters of 4th gen, I like Chimchar, not b/c of its use in battle (its moveset w/o the use of TMs consists of too many life-risking moves) but b/c of a reason that is outside the game.

yeah the johto pokemon had a narrow move pool but who can forget their moves that that deal considerable damage.FEraligatr had ice punch to kill lance.typhlosion can go through anyone.Meganium blasts anyone in its way.i think the rse pokemon hare the worst.sceptile had no ground moves so it stayed weak to fire.blaziken was 4x weak to ground so a camerupt could beat it.swampert was csame as blazzekin cept its weak to grass and a brellom can take it.ok i will put the starters in order.
1Gold/Silver/Crystal
2Red/Green
3Diamond/Pearl
4Ruby/Sapphire

Its better because he said it is, lol.

I like Chimchar because, well, I like him. He's fire type, and he's a monkey. He also is really fast, and still really strong. He also kills Turtwig.
Great, I'm moving. Who knows when you'll see me again.

cheating is bad, I know you're fairly new so I'll let you off easy this time. But bumping topics over a month old is a complete no-no, besides this topic is already older than a year with no new posts since then.

If you would like to revive activity, create your own topics.
