Chimchar's fully evolved form is a fighting type and fire type, but what is he capable of being stronger in?? Sp. Attack or attack??

It has equal base Atk and Sp. Atk. However, since its move set comprises many physical moves rather than special moves so you have more flexibility using it as a Physical Sweeper.

Yea I see now. I just started playing pearl and I have no knowledge on all these new pokemon. But yea he just evolved into monferno and I see his attack power is gaining by the level. I still wanted to focus on his sp. Attack tho, so I got him brave natured. Focuses on attack but doesn't take power out of his sp. Attack like adamant does. I'm confident that he will grow powerful
