When Battling Giratina in the Distortion World, It's OK if you Kill it. Giratina WILL Re-appear in TurnBack Cave. I do Not know if It'll have the Same Battle Music, but both Times, He appears at Lv.47 and knows the same Moves. However, Giratina will appear in Altered Form, as it's the real world instead of the Distortion World. But That's OK, It is over the Portal, so just get the Griseous Orb.

its weird i always thought turnback cave was a area where you head to the disortion world and you find the platinum orb which everyone knows wat it does
for those noobs out there this is what it does
You give it to giratina and in the disortion world he will be normal(D/P style)and in th real world he will be in origin form(new form)

distortion world's first entrance is on spear pillar. second is on turnback cave. Also, the platinum orb makes giratina turn to its origin form wherever it is.
