So this is the official rule thread for Pokemon SoulSilver. As with any forum on this site, you're expected to follow our standard forum rules. Here they are:

Super Cheats Forum Rules/Regulations

Please note that individual forums may also have additional rules that co-exist along with these general rules or allow some things that other forums may not, please make sure to read these topics to prevent yourself from running into trouble regarding these rules.

Definitions

Spam: Spam is defined as not posting anything related to the topic or not posting at least 3 words in your post.

Flame: Flaming is basically insulting/swearing at someone and is not tolerated; argue the point, not the person.

Flame baiting: If someone does not flame you, but makes you angry enough so that you flame, this is called flame baiting.

Trolling: Trolling is also against the rules. A 'Troll' is basically someone who posts messages from banned members or somebody similar that threaten the safety of the site, the security of the members etc.

The Forum Rules

1) Spam posts are not to be permitted on the forums

2) Flaming towards other members is by NO means acceptable

3) Flame baiting is not allowed, for the definition on what ?flamebaiting? is, consult the earlier section.

4) There is to be no trolling, Trolling is usually a ban, no warnings, consider this the warning.

5) All members have the right to an opinion and equal treatment.

6) Moderators run individual forums, Super Moderators run ALL forums, Admins also handle all forums, with the power to edit posts, etc. They also have the power to ban. Any disrespect shown to these people and the work they voluntarily do will not be tolerated.

7) Any Banned Member who is allowed to re-enter the site begins once more with all the rights and responsibilities the rest of the members have; do not mistreat these returned members.

8) Do not type your entire post in CAPITALS, it?s considered flaming and will be dealt with that way, regardless of the content of the message, oh and also do not create topics where the title has ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

9) Swearing excessively is against the rules, remember this is a family friendly site. Trying to get past the swear filter is also against the rules.

10) No Advertising is allowed. If you have your own website that is not a competitor, we allow it in forum signatures only.

11) Scamming (asking for credit card details, Runescape passwords, etc) is against the rules.

12) Any member under the age of thirteen is not allowed to post, this is for safety reasons.

13) While almost any subject on Supercheats is widely regarded as acceptable to post (for those not acceptable, consult General Chat we ask that you (the topic creator) hold an unbiased view on subjects and provide BOTH sides of the argument so that your topic doesn?t become a flame-ridden battlefield.

14) Supercheats is a family orientated site, even if it is frequented by Teenagers, you are not to post anything sexual, extremely violent or anything that would generally warrant more than an ?M? rating.

So there are the rules, please stick to them and hopefully you'll have some fun on the boards!

Additional Rules:

Also, there will be no 'topic hijacking', meaning when someone has a thread, you're not allowed to ask a question of you own, this is against our rules.

Additionally, there will be no 'I'll answer all your questions' type threads (where someone offers to help everybody with their problems, this defeats the purpose of a forum.

There is also to be no bumping of a topic that is over 30 days (a month) old, this will most likely result in immediate closure.

There are to be no double posts, in which you post multiple posts with no purpose, just edit your original. These will most likely be deleted by a mod or higher power. However, you may post more than once if you first quote the post (not your own, unless it's a large topic and it's far enough back in the thread, you may quote it for emphasis.) But this should also be done in moderation, more than one or two will be deleted.

This forum is for discussion of the game Pokemon SoulSilver, not for Action Replay, Trading & Battle requests, Pokemon HeartGold, etc. Here are some appropriate forums to post these types of topics in, failure to abide by this rule will result in the thread's moving to the correct forum.

Pokemon HeartGold Forum- http://forums.supercheats.c...rum=2191

Action Replay Requests- http://forums.supercheats.c...rum=1828

Trading & Trade Requests/Shops- http://forums.supercheats.c...rum=1791

Battle Topics & Requests- http://forums.supercheats.c...rum=1792

Team Ratings & Evaluations- http://forums.supercheats.c...rum=1685

For general discussion of the Pokemon game series (such as discussion of favorite game, generation, moves, speculation, etc.) goes in the Pokemon General Series Forum, any thread that is like this will most likely be moved there as deemed fit by a mod or higher power.

Pokemon General Series- http://forums.supercheats.c...orum=449

So these are our rules, please abide by them as this will make your and the mods' SuperCheats forum experience that much better.

If any Pokemon Hub Mod wishes to add anything, please mention re-open this thread and post it here so it can added or changed. Thank You.

"On every page on the forums, there is a link to the forum rules which every member should click and read. The inclusion of content in rules topics for individual forums that simply reiterates what is said in the Help page or Forum Rules page (or the General Forum Rules pamphlet) is therefore not necessary unless certain rules in the aforementioned articles are continually being flouted. If you wish to make a rules topic for your forum, the rules in that thread should be exclusive to that forum. Once such rules are written, you should remind members that any other general forum rules that have not been modified for that forum remain in full force in that forum as in any other. If there are no special rules for the particular forum, or unless a general rule is being violated more often in that forum than normal, you should not make a rules thread."

tl;dr version - This is pretty much just a copy-paste of the forum rules so it's not needed.

Re-closing, unpinning.

Winner of Member Brawl '09. Finally cleared out enough sig space to include that.
