WTF moments

Forum needs some more activity.... So, I was playing through SS for the first time the other day when I noticed something odd.




Skip to 5 minutes in. I WTF'd when I read what Heart said. ._.

.... but he's supposed to be the serious one. :S

@Symphony - My God XD Why didn't I notice this? You can just tell that the game designers are having a laugh with us there. It would go right over the little kids' heads, too.

The 'why so serious' thing works especially well when your rival sends out his Haunter last. ;)

I've encountered way less WTF moments in SoulSilver than in, say, Sapphire. Maybe I just need to look harder...

HOW DID I MISS THIS?

I love it XD It's so similar to the Barboach and Shroomish thing out of R/S/E.

Anything new added to remakes. I haven't got very far (just beat Falkner, eheh), but numerous wtf moments include:

- Lyra. There's no backstory to this character. I keep forgetting who she is and am like 'wtf' when she appears.

- That random Japanese woman who talks some nonsense to you after you exit the Poké Mart in Violet City after obtaining the Egg.

- The friendliness of the Guide Gent. I thought he was slightly creepy this time around. That's right, force a kid to follow you around town and then lure them into your house so that you can give them a pair of shoes. Hmm...

I HATE LYRA. SHE'S A WASTE OF PIXELS.

And the Japanese woman will make sense to you later in the game. If we're thinking of the same person here.

On the way to Union Tunnel (or whatever the tunnel south of Violet City is called), just above the Pokémon Center in a narrow passage, there was a dude hanging around. As my team were weary from battle, I went into the Pokémon Center first incase he was a trainer, but when I came out, he was gone. Mega WTF.

Speaking of the path south of Violet City, does anyone WTF at how many times that little girl calls you during the game if you give her your number? You know, the one that's staring at a wall in the corner?

She actually never did call me.

Also, in Viridian Forest, there's a bug catcher with Metapods up to level 60. Imagine the monotonous grinding.

That's one of the day siblings, they only hang out on their day in their spot from midnight to midnight, you probably went in to the pokecenter at around 11:58PM and came out around 12:01AM ore something.

Actually, it was around the evening, so it certainly was a wtf moment.

I had a brief WTF moment at Red's lack of speech before I realised it was purposely done because Red was a silent protagonist in R/B/Y/FR/LG.

Yes, I do miss the most obvious things.

I thought I had a wtf moment when after I accidentally killed entei and beat lance to bring it back. I went to the burned tower and it wasn't there! then I looked at my map and saw it.

I was like about to die when i had only ho ho left vs weavile. He hit me with ice punch and ho oh was frozen but then my turn came and it said that ho oh was defrosted due to sacred ash and i hit him with sacred ash and i won.
