Ring Ring Ring, Banana Phone~

Just a question sparked out of interest, does anyone actually collect phone numbers in this game? We all know there's the option to give out pokegear numbers so other little people can constantly bother you, but does anyone actually accept the offer to trade numbers? I know I didn't after that annoying little girl south of Violet City...

I remember during the G/S/C days I used to just collect the first ten numbers and then never bother erasing any to get more. I rarely bother going back to meet up with them for another battle or whatever, so they only call me the two times and then forget about it.

In HeartGold, I've collected about 8. Don't know if there's a limit.

I destroy everyone I see on the route. So when I annihilate each person, should they ask me to exchange numbers, I always hit yes. So I always accept phone numbers in the game.

I stopped at Diamond, but I had to play SS to write a game review for this site.

I would check if there's a limit, but that sounds like a lot of personal time with Google. And as everyone knows, Google's a stalker/rapist.

HG/SS got rid of the limit

In these games you don't HAVE to answer their calls

Unless it's Elm or the Safari Zone guy. But you can even ignore Mom when she calls to say she bought berries haha

Actually, Nate, you can ignore anyone who has a slow ringing. Baoba goes either way. When something crucial in the Safari Zone happens, it rings fast. When he 'discovers' that different pokemon appear in the zone after a certain amount of days pass with items left in the area, the ring is slow so you can ignore him. :P

I conveniently decided to take a break from playing soon after I set up those blocks trying to figure them out So I wouldn't know, and I never did notice how fast or slow some rings were.

Well, knowing me, I had so little of a life that I decided to pay attention and I noticed Elm was usually a quick ringing and normal trainers were slower. Placing specific blocks in specific areas can get you pokemon like Gible, Beldum, Metang, Riolu, and many more rare pokemon. Oh, and you can get Larvitar there at around Lv 17. Adding specific blocks can make him Lv 42. rofl

Bleh, even if I did collect the numbers, I probably would have never noticed the ringing speed either. I was always playing the game in the middle of class when I had nothing of interest to do. Had to have the volume all the way down so my teacher wouldn't complain.

Well.. I'm just more into it than you'd expect. ;-;

I know I have all of them, twice over, because I thoroughly traveled the entire game. lol

I collect the numbers still having trouble getting the gym leaders' numbers though.

I give out numbers, except to that one who vows to call me up and talk to me all day about Clefairy. I've never accepted her number and I never plan to.

Obviously Joey is the biggest culprit for phone-rape, but that Picnicker south of Violet City and the guy who says his Psyduck is getting cuter are other irritating ones. And that stupid Safari Zone guy who MAKES ME OWNER BUT STILL MAKES ME PAY.

But 500 dollar fee is nothing compared to what we should have by that time in the game. D:

I only collect phone numbers of those whom I can call to collect special items after I defeat them again.
