Gen 5 Pokemon nicknames

So do you plan on nicknaming any of your gen 5 Pokemon? If so what Pokemon and what do you plan to call them?

I'm planning on when the English games calling my Pokabu/Tepig Susie. I plan on training a Kojondo and nicknaming it Melody. On my imported game I've called my Smugleaf Drake. I also nicknamed my Choroneko, Neko in Japanese.

I'll probably name my Pokemon after my 5th gen Pokemon Role playing characters. I.e.: Trip the Snivy, Jadzia the Kojondo, Vasu the Victini, etc. I'll probably come up with other nicknames for my other party members, though.

I'm bad at nicknaming my team. Usually come up with names I'm not allowed to type here xD

I used to nickname random Pokes bad stuff lolz.

I'll nickname all my team members. I'm not sure what I'll name them though. It takes me a while sometimes. Took me weeks up until Platinum's release to figure out what I'd name Giratina. I'm thinking of naming my Smugleaf Versailles.

I seem to come up with somewhat good nicknames for my Pokemon.

I never name my Pokemon anything bad.

Trying to figure out what I'll call the water starter, I may just end up calling it Otter.

I always hated Nicknames. I just stick with the natural names. Hey, maybe the Pokemon don't like the nicknames. Just their not programmed to tell us...

I'll put nicknames probally horrible ones just to get away from the horrible names they already have.

Grass - Leaf
Water - Ice
Fire - Flame

only a few names that come to mind.

Ive nicknamed my pokemon already.


My Jalorda is Cel
The puppy lookin dog thing I name Joriah.
My Choroneku is named Amy
And my Zorua is named Zymphony.

anything to match the names in the teams....I think I will just find a nickname when I get the game....right now mine are only guesses....but not written in stone.

Occasionally if I can't think up a good nickname I just use part of the Pokemon's name to come up with something. Works about 90 percent of the time. It doesn't matter how complicated the nickname (like I named my Porygon Z 'GammaZED' for some odd reason) but it's good to improvise.

so you pick a name and match it to either part of the pokemon's name or its type or something like that...that's a nice way to do it.

I will name the alien alien or something like that.

alien Alien, hey is a unique name to say the least, sometimes those are good names to choose, instead of the usual flame or John or something like that.
