Online issues?
When I play online with someone, we connect, then it says something like '*other players name* failed to respond,' when their screen says something similiar to mine. Mine usually says 'connecting with *other person's name' after saying '*other person* wants to play with you' or something similiar.
In the short term, it won't let me connect with ANYYYYBOOOODYYYYY! Has anyone else received this issue?

Nope. Are you sure your DS's wireless is turned on? Your modem's firewall isn't blocking your DS's communications?
