I have completed the main game once, and upon doing so I recieved the extras menu, then beat assignment ada and seperate ways. When doing that I was told I could now purchase the typewriter in both the main game and seperate ways. I already bought it in seperate ways, but I can't seem to do so in the main game.

ummmm when my mate and i did it he had beaten seperate ways and it was available from the merchant...he sold almost all of his weapons to pay for it...hope it helped

Byin' a typewriter? That is to save no? Also what does it cost then? ...or is it a weapon?

Yeah, the chicago typewriter is an awsome gun and cost a million petas but yeah you need to sell alot of your guns and stuff to buy it

ummmm have you beaten seperate ways? cause it should be unlocked along with the leon gangsta outfit and the ashley suit of armour...
it is a really good gun and can chop through the game quick and also i think you need to play a saved round like save file that says new round or something, i'm not sure we did it on my mates game i haven't done it yet through...

Well, I got the mafia suit with Leon, but can't buy the gun in the main game :(
When you replay, then ya can buy stuff from the start aight? ...well the gun isn't listed.

I don't know then, cause we wanted to start a new game and use the ashley suit of armour, and the typwriter was available so he ended up selling all the guns to get it cause that, the matilda and the infinte rocket launcher were for sale and we bought it and its been there and worked so yeah, i'm not sure if you have to beat seperate ways twice or not but yeah I wouldn't know

I don't know unless it could have possibly been a glitch in your game but yeah it should have worked if you completed seperate ways...

Yeah but I already found a way around the whole extras menu thing...Saved the game right before I finished off Saddler in normal mode and I find killing him fun so whenever I wanna go to the extras menu I load that save, kill him with the infinite rocket launcher and ride out of the island then when it ends just don't save but the extras menu will be back

cool, I like riding the jetski, it's fun as hell. They say that there is a way for Leon to do a spin on it, but I don't know how...
