In one of the walkthroughs on supercheats is where in saw it. I believe it was written by Syrphius, or something like that. Maybe CIG knows, he knows everything else. CIG, Ya gotta copy good buddy............

Well in olden times there were things in which they used to put people in. It had spikes in it and that caused them a slow death. They look like them maybe thats why.

My answer is this....I saw it in a walkthrough, an official one made by capcom. They call it that, its the official name stated in an RE4 interview a few years back. They in a sick way, were like maidens, untouched, and they healed themselves in hurt, put spikes in them, and there ya go.
