I only ever used the Mine Thrower once. I found it to be a waste of valuable space, and its only real use the other guns couldn't cover was that it did a pretty good job at killing the Regenerators before you get the InfraRed Scope (and there were only a possible amount of three before retrieving the InfraRe Scope, the first of which was easily avoided and the last of which was optional whehther you wanted to fight it with or without the Scope).

It lasted for about half of 5-1 on the one playthrough I used it.

It was useful to me. Especially with the homing upgrade you can buy for it. I would it at a corner and it would fly around the corner, lodge it self somewhere in the Ganado's body, and explode. Brilliant.

It works on Saddlers eyes too and yes C-I-G is right there's nothing better than a mine to the head.

Yeah, I guess a regular grenade would work well. Imagine a flash grenade killing him, lol.
