can any of you people remember the cutscene where on of the sith soldiers is talking to darth malak and his metal clasp was off and he turned around and he was missing his jaw does any one know how that managed to happen

I don't know if I'm accurate, but I think it's because of Revan. But that's just a guess. I'm not sure.

Revan didn't have anything to do with it, the Jedi did it. When Malak and Revan fell (turned to the Dark Side) the Jedi tried to stop (kill) them. Malak faced a Jedi Master and got his jaw cut off.

Really? Well, it's Revan's fault that Malak turned to the Dark Side, so I guess it is his fault, in part.

Malak was horridly injured in a lightsaber duel. A swipe from a lightsaber severed his lower jaw, and Malak was forced to wear a metallic jaw guard that hid his disfigurement from view. The guard also included a vocoder, through which Malak spoke with an eerie metallic tone.
