Online features

It has already been stated by the creators of Brawl that it will contain online features, but what I want to know is what features do you think it should have.

Of course, there should be standard Smash Bros free-for-all fighting, but if they should do some sort of mode where you've got to KO as many computer opponents as you can within a time limit. Whoever KO's the most wins. If it's a draw, whoever got KO'd the most loses. If it's still a draw, we'll leave it at that.

Sounds like a good idea. I was thinking of an items only mode where they only way to inflict any damage on anyone is to use items. Any attack on them with normal weapons wouldn't do anything whatsoever, so it would be a waste of time. I was thinking a similar thing but with just Pok�mon too, if they decide to keep them that is. Also with futuristic-based weapons, so it could be like a Star Wars Brawl in larger, more maze-like courses. It would be a lot of fun.

Maybe online fighting with anybody.

Anyways, I like your idea n_d, particuarly the Star Wars Brawl one (though don't call it that). Have maps similar to the race to the finish one, just without the finishes.

Free-for-all: all for all, 4 player, no teams, everyone for themselves, anything that falls in to that category. Got it now?

Of course you could always have some team matches as well. Maybe some online exclusive weapons like the viruses from Dr. Mario that completely mess up your opponents screen and controls for a while.

Or, what I was saying up there, 1 on 1 matches.

For once, you may have done what could register as a somewhat decent suggestion. Guess they should have an option to limit the amount of opponents you have.

Despite that, multi man mayhem is always better than 1-on-1, so the option may not be used much.

One more thing, you didn't actually mention 1-on-1 fights above.

I can't think of a mroe original name at the moment, so Star Wars Brawl is just a sort of code name. Some nice ideas there guys.

Futuristic items? So the Ray Gun and Beam Sword aren't good enough for you?

More than four players per match in online mode. Anywhere between eight and twelve is good, but only big arenas would be selectable for those matches.

Possibly a moe, that pairs you up with other players, and you each have one life. You can't fight each other, but all sorts of enimies drop down, and you must fight them off. If you die, you lose, and last person standing, is the winner. So it would sort of be a mode that you work together, and against each other.

Like a sort of co-operative survival? I like it. There's bound to be someone who just hides behind the other players and indiscriminately lobs Bob-ombs around, and I imagine I would be that someone.

Exactly what I mean.

Though, there's also bound to be someone who smacks an enemy over to the hiding person. XD

What about if you connect with somebody and win a battle, a new item/stage/charecter is released?

Bad idea. That'd disadvantage the people who can't play online for whatever reason.

Monster Hunter had a lot of great stuff only for online players and look how good it did in japan. So they might do the samething but only 2% of the game's unlockabuls could be unlocked online

Well, they could do what they did for Halo 2. Not all the stages were unlocked, so you could either, buy a disk that had the stages, or you could go online and get them. Though, that would be pretty crappy anyways...

You could have special online only modes that can only be unlocked through doing a certain amount of matches. I'm not with the idea of unlocking stuff online, I'm just giving some suggestions in case they actually do it.

Nobody would want to play against me in that mode. I'd win before the match has started.
