Super Smash Bros. Brawl--the hotly anticipated Wii brawler that was originally slated for release last year before being pushed back to February 10, 2008--has been delayed yet again. According to a statement from Nintendo of America, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will now be released in North America on March 9.
The Nintendo statement blamed a longer-than-expected development process for the delay. "As we're sure you have seen on the Dojo site, the game contains an unprecedented number of characters, options, and experiences," the statement said.
On Smash Bros. Dojo, designer Masahiro Sakurai even went so far as to apologize to fans, saying, "Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we've had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9. I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long, and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience."

It has been confirmed today i screamed at the top of my lungs when i saw this(but the tell us EVERYBODYS final smash and specials)and sheik was reavealed

I think this is a good thing because the longer we wait the better the game is going to be, everyday there will be an update till near the release date (except from weekends). So there will be more updates making the game be better

For me the hype is over, the delay is nothing big it just like "Oh another delay big deal" But still its a little dissapointing.

I couldn't care less, us in Europe get it July, I say it should be released worldwide then, so Americans know what it's like to wait for so long.
But until then I have Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and DMC4 when it's out.
