Who Would Win #8 Marth vs Ike

Here are the rules on how who will win,

-3 stocks
-Level 9 Difficulty Computers
-No Items
-Best out of 3 matches

Stage:
Final Destination.

Well Marth won for me.

seeing as how this is a computer match then ike won

the computer doesn't do any of marth's aerial combo's that he is known for.and they sure as hell don't know how to spike so ike has to much of an advantage not to win

if this were a match with actual players the results might differ

Thats seriously not cool since I do those and the other one isn't dead yet
Marth because the ike computor has a bad AI or AL whatever it is called

Sorry Aether13 about this, i just wanted to make a new thread about who would win because the other one you made was getting a bit old and boring. So i made this one but next time you can make it sorry.

I will state this again...

With a Comp vs Comp game, the chance of either character winning, regardless of the characters used, is 50%. I still don't see why we debate using a computer based party.

If it were players with equal skill using each character to the fullest potential, Marth would pwn Ike hard, no discussion.

Marth = fast, combos, chain grabs, good recovery, lagless, powerful
Ike = fast, powerful, full of lag, no combos, terrible recovery

Should we just rate them on there usability and overall wellness?

TBH john since i am a ike player ike isn't all to fast i mean yea if you know how to use him by combo but if some1 was to just pick up and controler and play ike it wouldn't be good and I can combo a little bit with ike ;-;

if you rely on ike's aerials a little more than his ground attacks ike can actually be a really hard character to face

To Aether: When I say Ike is fast, it refers to his run speed, which actually isn't that poor. He still can't combo. His knockback is too great to nail anything more than 1 hit in a row.

To guy in oakland: Ike's aerials are very predictable, Ike can only use one per jump (from all of the frames it takes for him to attack), and he lags after executing an aerial.

his bair doesn't lag :p,why am I even sticking up for ike I hardly use him >_<

Ike would own with his powerful aerials and ground attacks in my opinion.

Bair does lag. It's initial execution is fast, but then the animation for Ike to return to an active state takes way too long (lag).

Haven't you noticed that Ike can't perform 2 Bairs in a jump? Ike can't even do one Fair unless he is at the top of his single jump.

And Sacred, you didn't state anything important. You basically said that Ike would win because he can attack. Marth can attack too, you know.

I don't see Ike chain-grabbing too much. Maybe his Uthrow can chaingrab, but it's very minor.

So Marth would kick Ike's butt anyday?

Very much so. Also, in an aerial situation, with both starting up at the same time, Marth's aerial hits Ike, screwing up the aerial, hits him again twice in the air, lands and hits him with a Side Smash, knocking him off, then jumps off the stage, follows him with two aerials, jumps back, recovers, and if necessary jumps off again.

yea b/c i have this semi combo where i uthrow and then aether then use ikes dtilt

You Uthrow, and then Aether? What's an aether?

And he's Uthrow's pushback is too great to truely combo. Anybody can airdodge/jump away from you to avoid being "aethered."

You know what ikes Uspecial is its "name" is called aether
