The most powerful attack that I know of, for now, is Ganondorf's usmash, which does around 65% damage in full impact. Giant-sized, it does 75-80% damage.

Well I find Roy's Fire Blade attack to be the most powerful. It does 50% damage BUT it almost never fails to KO an opponent when fully charge and used at the right moment.

damage-wise, without the aid of other players/items:
peach's dsmash (88% charged)
ganon's usmash (53% charged)
yoshi's dair (52%)
roy's flare blade (50% charged)
roy's dsmash (~ 49% both hits)
luigi's dsmash? (~ 42% both hits?)
after that probably comes a bunch of ganon/bowser's smashes, and a couple of ic smashes (if the dual attack counts as one attack) as well. ness's fsmash does lots of damage too.

Powerful can mean damagewise, or knockback wise, or both. Jiggs rest ranks pretty high in knockback.

i do think that zelda, more than any characer, hasn't really been seen enough to be properly rated. i've dabbled with her and i'd say she's definitely mid and a candidate for high.
