I'm a serious offensive player, so patience doesn't come easy for me. If you knock them into the air, climb a step and knock them down. Just KO them before they can KO you, but be smart about it. That's my plan.

Something that helped me get better with Link was watching some other people's gameplay. I looked and found the most amazing people I'd seen with Link, and I learned what to do from there. I learned new ideas from them, and tested them myself, and made my own style.
I reccomend looking for some vids of expert Luigi players, and practicing what they do. You can learn alot just by watching them. It'll take a little bit to learn though. Eventually though, you'll find a style you can beat people with.
