On the Main Quest where Martin asks you to get a Great Welkynd Stone from Miscarcand. I've killed all of the goblins and undead in the first level of the ruin, but after I dropped down from the elevated path, I went to the NW exit pressed the button on the wall and stepped on the pressure plate after going up the stairs. But the gate in front of me did not open, and I'm trapped in the lower part of the first level of Miscarcand. I've gotten through this before but I don't think this has happened. Can anyone help me?

I think you've took a worng path, Go back a bit and retrace your steps.
