My friend has done this thing, He made spells and named them. Can you really make spells or is he just lying?

Yes, you can. You have to get a recommendation from all the guild halls and then you can enter the Arcane University. Then you can create them.
P.S: You signature is to big. The maximum signature size is 500x200 pixels. Yours is currently 409x254, 54 pixels too tall.

You can only make variations of spells you already know.So you can't make a charm spell until you buy one.You can also combine two or more spells you have.Example:Combining a weakness to shock/frost/fire spell and a strong shock/frost/fire spell is better then a shock/frost/fire spell alone.

Also if you purchase the Wizard's Tower from xbox live you can have your very own spell making alter at the tower. good if you don't want to do the Mage guild. It also has a bench for enchanting.
