What level shall i enter oblivion gates at?

What level shall i enter oblivion gates at because i did it at level 1 and it seems pretty hard?

I always do the oblivion gates last. I found it easy to do them at level 29.

Yes, I would do the main mission until you meet Jaufree so you can get a horse and armor. After that, do side and guild missions.

I entered them quite quickly with an "Invisibility" spell.

It doesn't really matter because of the leveled stuff. Though you do get worse sigil stones in terms of the level of skills they offer. If you want to get more rare stuff then enter them later.

I start doing the gates asap. They are all lvl based so if your a lvl 2 your enimies will only be a lvl 2.the higher lvl you are the better stuff you get.I very much enjoy doing the gates. They randomly open up everywhere. On the other hand my husband hates doing the gates so he gets the main mission out of the way. Once the main mission is done the gates are gone forever.
I go ahead and do the missions in Kvatch then I get Martin to Jauffre.Once I do this I hardly ever do anything on the main mission until much later.
It all depends on how you play the game.

I did some of them at level 10 but that was me.

I was a soldler and also the mace of doom.

I sneek and use my bow. Most of the time I get a x3 effect so all the enimies go down in one hit. I always have a distuction spell(electrc usually) on hand just in case they get too close. just done a gate today in my new game and I'm a lvl 4. Did it with no problems.

What if your like Lv 19 and you do gates will it be hard?

First of all, do not double post. Now, save Martin from Kavatch and they will start to open. That is it. And don't tell me someone allready said that, I didn't read the whole thing.

How many gate are there? I think there are 50 but I'm not sure.

Dont go in at a high level because all the NPCs that help you will be set at low levels and they will have cruddy armor.(Like in the Bttle for Kavatch mission.)
