I followed the directions in the walkthroughs for fishing yet i haven't caught a single fish in the beginning can anyone help me?
Also this is Wii version i would have responded earlier but i was busy since i made this post

Go to the dock on the other side of the place. Cast your rod, and when "Fish ON!" appears, pull up.

First off, Wii or GC? Seccond, Bobber fishing, or the fishing mini-game (where you're in the boat).
Guessing you're in the boat, fish near the arch shaped rock, north of the arch shaped rock, or south of the arch shaped rock. This is where I found most of my fish.
If your bobber fishing, follow what tbug2007 said.
