My brother thinks that it's the Link from ocarina of time, since OOC happened [number] years ago, and that spirit was the same [number] years.

But it could possibly be related to Link.
I'm thinking it's his dad, which used to be Link in the other games, and HIS dad was Link, and so on.
I have a creative mind, though, so I don't expect that to be true.
