i know this is a dumb question, but do you need the sims 2 for pc if you want to get nightlife fo pc too?
ps: which do you think i should get instead of night? university, open for business,sims 2 pets, any other expansions i did not list?

Yes, you need the regular Sims 2 (or dvd edition, but I dont know what that is really) to play expansions.
Nightlife is supposed to be the best. I have Uni and OFB, uni has some cool stuff, but OFB is different... Pets is probably really good too!
