Help with Seasons

Okay so I bought Seasons a while ago and installed it and immediately became frustrated. When I'm in Neighborhood veiw my ground is blinking purple and black. So then I figured, thats okay, whatever. So I click on my family's lot. When I get in my house is blinking red and black. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and the same thing. Well, today I decided to use the Seasons Patch but the same thing happened. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I fix it? Do you think maybe its my computer? Because when I uploaded Pets I had the blinking red and black house to I uninstalled that. Only thing that works is Sims 2 and Open for Business.
