Play frisbee with a dog

I am on Level 27 and my current goal is "play frisbee with a dog". I bought the frisbee with 6 LP. I chose a Sim to play with the dog. After 3 tosses, my Sim Walked away with the frisbee in her hand. She didn't "complete" the goal. She can now do actions, go to other houses, eat, sleep, read, etc -- but the frisbee is always in her hand. I therefore cannot complete the goal ... please help! How can I 'unglitch' my Sim?
