Mystery Island Resources

Hello guys my game is in dutch because i'm from Holland.
The problem is that i can only build house but not other buildings my sims can not
Have a job now and i have no park my sims can only stay ad home.
I have to buils a bridge to mysterie iland can someone please help me
Is this a mistake in my game????

Finding resources seems to be incredibly random. I have 65 pick axes but no gold. I can never get it. It gives those away like free mints but is stingy with one resource per monument. I'm frustrated! I've tried doing everything random, even tasks I never do. Nope nothing.

I am playing in the teens update and I've tried so many cheats but they don't work!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

How do you get gold? I got one by making two of my sims best friends, but it does not work any more.Any help?!

Hello, don't mean to bug anyone, but I need some advice. I've been trying to get resources like gold, pearls, wind, etc. and found nothing of it! I have little to no LP left, so there goes that. Also, I don't have a febreeze toilet that seems to have helped out every other person that plays the game. Is it still in the shop? Y'know, the one for 3 LP that says "Toilet"? Is it posdible I can still get resources from it? Any advice would be wonderful, as this is very aggravating. Much thanks xx

Please help me i dont know how to get pass the grow onions part on sims 3 on the misterous island. Every time i grew onions the misterous island would not count that i grew the onions please help!!

Febreze Toilet has been removed from the home store, so no chance there. Also looking for gold!

For the Mystery Island, I found these ways so far.

Shake hands with a Sim.
Be Nice to random Sims at different times (this takes time).
Use a Workbench at different locations (if possible, and this takes time and may depend on the gained items).
Do different activities at the Park (this takes up to 5 days, unless you have a lot of Sims)
Use Google Play card money, since $50 could potentially give you enough LP to upgrade a monument to at least Level 3 by the end of the day (I tried it and it would have gone to Level 5 or higher if I were paying attention to the Houseboat requirements). This is the best method I know for if you have the money.

Other ways include just driving cars until you have enough LP to bypass the resources (pets take 1 hour minimum to find just one LP, if I remember correctly), baking cakes (still in question), having Pre-Teens interact with age-specific objects, upgrading to a Teen and having the Teen interact with things, and anything you'd normally do.


Just experiment and see what works best at which times. Sometimes you'll need to repeat activities to get it to work, so patience is necessary for once you complete the first quest.


For the Goal Resources, the quest requires you to garden, bake, read, hibernate, and something else (I forget if there's more, but I discovered a resource by accident). It can be done within 2 days if you have 6 hours a day to do stuff and at least 5 Sims available to perform actions.

Ok so I've got the Christmas update, I'm level 14 and my mystery island task is to find more resources. The frebreeze toilet now costs lp so that's no help. Any ideas????
