Why is Rey Mysterio's overall sooo low?

In this game, his overall is only 86!

I reckon his overall should be in the nineties.

I don't get it.

What do you people think his overall should be?

I think its in the right place. He didn't do anything big in 2008, so he doesn't deserve anything higher than 90 for that, and since he is a crusierweight, he is gonna lose out in the strength and submission stats.

Everyone has over-exaggerated stats in '08, e.g. Cena: 97. They're more realistic now, and due to Mysterio being a Cruiserweight, he'll lose out on Strength, and he never uses Submissions, so like KJ56 said, he'll lose out on those to, and he'll lose out on durability because he's so injury prone.

Overalls are made up of some sort of average for their other attributes.

Rey has low strength, resilience, durability, etc. Same as Khali, but he has low stamina and speed.

That's why they're that low.

Cena is high, as he has great speed, strength, durability, submission, and what not.

I always thought as Rey Mysterio as a light heavyweight not cruiserweight.

160-175 pounds is not a Light Heavyweight....

As what Jamie said he never really did anything too big in 08 to get him a rating in this game that is good. Like in the Madden games the team gets a rating based on how their defense/offense and overall team performed and by record. That is sorta how developers shaped the game.

Ratings aren't to do with how good they were in the year, guys. It's to do with their Strength/Speed/ Submission/Charisma/Stamina stats.

Stats are given out based on how well a superstar did that year Rob.

Otherwise Shelton Benjamin would have an overall stat in the 90's...

They really aren't.

That's why Superstars like the Great Khali are so low, because they have extremely low speed, stamina etc. Even though when he first come in, he was unbeatable, won the title, knocking out Undertaker, he still was low 80's.

That's also why your CAW rises in overall as your other attributes rise through career mode.

shelton has an overall of 86 because he has low Hardcore, Charisma, Submission and Durability.

robs technically is right because rey rey hasnt done anything big last year and hasnt held a title since 2006 WM22 and then lost it too king booker so he should be in the 80-88 area

Using Shelton as an example again, hope no-one minds :P.

If the overalls weren't based on what a superstar had accomplished that year and instead focused on how good the superstar was, Shelton's Submission & Durability stats would be alot higher than what they are in the game, simply because Shelton can take a decent amount of blows, and because, having a amateur wrestling background, would also mean he would have an extensive knowledge of submission holds.

Another example is John Cena. His stats were extremely high in 08, not because if his actual abilities, but because he held the WWE Title for an extensive amount of time. This is apparent by the fact that his overall dropped to 93 in this version.

Obviously someone like Khali will never get 90 speed even if he held the WWE Title for 10 years, and someone like Mysterio wouldn't get a strength stat of 90 either, but most of the stats are based on how well a wrestler is booked, and not on how good they actually are.

So you're not actually disagreeing with the factr their overalls are based on their other in-game attributes?

Of course their abilities are based from their real life, like they'll give Cena stats from real life, but his overall will be from those stats.

ok ok let me settle this mysterio has low in durabilty,strength and submissionsee mysterio never uses strength or submission his always jumping all over the place so it simple mysterio uses that technique game and real life but see he could be in the ninetys if he had another title run but as i said before he hasnt held one sincet the WHC he won at WM22 therefore his stats will lose out and he hasnt done anything big so all in all rey has a decent stat and its where it should be.
