Nintendo Brawl 2016: General Info Thread

Greetings friend! Was there ever a time in your life when you felt something was missing? An impulse; a desire? Something to answer the question everyone wants answered.

Who are the legends?

Who indeed. It's a question many of us have wondered time after time again. Which ones are the most legendary legends? Who are pitful pathetic ones? Well my friend, you have the opportunity to help us decide who are the legends, and who are the flops.

For some of you you will remember my plans for a 2014 Nintendo Brawl. They were cut short due to me attempting to win the final MVP ever, and thus the Brawl was cancelled. However, I wish to resurrect it sometime late this year. There will be changes to my original plans, as it will simplify the work I will need to put into it.

Originally there were to be 216 competitors, with 72 matches of 3 people to begin. In my new plan, there will be 128 competitors, beginning with 64 matches of 2. The structure of the Brawl will be identical to a Grand Slam tennis tournament (Round 1 has 128 ppl, Round 2 has 64, Round 3 has 32, Round 4 has 16, QFs have 8, SFs have 4, and the Final). 2 people with compete in each round.

Now that the list of 128 is finalised, you have the opportunity to choose FOUR people who you believe can win/who you want to win. If one of your 4 wins, you and it will become Nintendo Royalty, and the winner will have the opportunity to collect a free Amazon.com voucher, donated by Team SuperCheats! The value of the voucher is currently unknown.*

The amount of time each round will take is:

Round 1: 8 matches daily for 8 days
Round 2: 8 matches daily for 4 days
Round 3: 4 matches daily for 4 days
Round 4: 4 matches daily for 2 days

Quarter Finals: 4 matches on the 1 day
Semi Finals: 2 matches on the 1 day
Final: Over two days

Total number of days: 26

Begin & End Dates:
Round 1: Nov 26th-Dec 3rd
One day break between rounds
Round 2: Dec 5th-Dec 8th
One day break between rounds
Round 3: Dec 10th-Dec 13th
One day break between rounds
Round 4: Dec 15th-Dec 16th
One day break before Quarterfinals
Quarterfinals: Dec 18th
Semi Finals: Dec 19th
Championship Match: Dec 20th-Dec 21st
